Mammals

Yesterday, Miss Christine, our naturalist from Wildlands Conservancy came to visit us again. She taught us about mammals. We know mammals are born alive, drink their mother's milk, breathe through lungs, have backbones, are warm-blooded, and have fur or hair. First she passed around fur and a mammal bone for us to feel.

Then she read us a funny story.

After the story she showed us what happens if you mix baking soda and vinegar.

Finally we each got to pet our mammal visitor, an opossum. Her fur was very soft and her tail quite interesting.

We can't wait till she comes back next month!
